Re: 3rd US Navy Parachute Incident 1930

The July 1930 accident involved F3B-1, A-7691, of VF-6B. He entered an inverted spin while attempting to roll out of the top of a loop.

On 30 July 1931, still with the same squadron and flying F4B-2, A-8635, he was killed when the aircraft broke up in a practice dive-bombing run 4 miles south of San Clemente Island.
