Today I managed to have a conversation with the last living witness. He was 10 by the time. He said it was January 1945 and there were many Russians in the area and the village itself. They were rushing for Berlin. Front line was further on west. He heard the sound of the plane and ran out of the house. He said he saw Russians took the plane. He didn't see, but he was later told that pilot escaped the plane with parachute. Is it possible in Bf 109?
Too bad that this great man is terminally ill and e. g. yesterday he couldn't have even a small conversation. I don't know if I will be able to find out anything more but now this is not the biggest problem.
Thank you guys. If anyone will know something more about Gerhard Dopke and Bf 109 G-14/AS W.Nr. 786533 «Schwarze 4» please let me know. I still believe this could be it
