Re: Jagdgeschwader 3 - Eastern Front 1941
I value the research and information in publications like this. Here's the review I posted on the Luftwaffe Research Group site. Since not everyone frequents both sites, I figured I'd post it here too.
Leon Venter ================================================== ====== Hi Andreas, Thanks for the excellent article! It's enjoyable reading and very well researched, providing many details about the operations and movements of JG3 and JG51, as well as useful insights into the nature of Operation Barbarossa and the conditions. Your use of the diary as the basis for the narrative works really well, because it emphasizes the human elements that are often lost in such accounts. I found them very interesting. I appreciated the maps and the listing of sources, and I thought the photos helped set the scenes nicely. It was super convenient as a Kindle purchase on Amazon, and an outstanding value. Highly recommended - hope to see more like this! Regards, Leon Venter (Disclaimer: I don't know Andreas Zapf from Adam. I just like the stuff he produces.) |
