Re: Ju 88 of 6./NJG 6 lost on 19 October 1944
Thanks Chris, exactly what I needed. But I have a new question.
I just discovered that the crashplace I have listed may be wrongly typed, as I find no Blecharn in Germany. Lothringen is the German name of French (then German) Lorraine, and another possibility is that the place may have changed name in 40-44 when it was part of Germany and then returned to its French name. A quick search of the commuens that changed name in 40 and 45 returned no Blecharn. All four crew are buried in Lorraine. The deathplace of Heuermann on the WAST website is listed at Momersdorf. And this place exists in Lorraine, or rather existed, as it was renamed Momerstroff in 1945. It is located east of Metz and is the probable crashplace. So, Chris, what have you listed as the crashplace of this aircraft, please ? |
