Re: S/Sgt. George C. Zambo (POW)
Alex, according to the website page http://www.airwarsk.sk/history.html the S/N for Artz was 28674 not 23674. The site lists a/c crashed in Slovakia. It also lists a/c crew who "reached" Slovakia, I guess meaning the a/c crashed outside Slovakia and the crew made it there by other means.
26.06.1944 459Gr 758Sq B-24H-10-DT 41-28674 1st Lt. Lincoln E. Artz "Citrus Sadie" Hungary ? Danube R. MACR6398 Peter Kassak - both links come up Page Not Found for me. Cheers Peter |
