Re: Junkers 252 RH+DC in Tápiószentmárton KG200 secret mission?
Mr Ott is wrong. According to the FB of Rupprecht Wendel the mentioned flight of the Ju 252 V2/BH+DC to Athen-Eleusis was in July 1943, not 1944. In July 1944 Wendel flew at Dessau.
The Junkers FRB Athen/Eleusis was closed in autumn 1943. Regards Peter |

Matthiasfeld is Budapest-Mátyásföld (it was not as big as ferihegy, was not used by transport planes generally)

Re: Junkers 252 RH+DC in Tápiószentmárton KG200 secret mission?
Yes, Peter Achs is right, all dates and times given in my previous message should be read well for 1943.
Ju 352 V2 BH+DC has been recorded for the last time with a flight of Flugkapitän Konrad Beyer from Kalinowka (now Belarus) to Guben on 21 December 1943 when the undercarriage collapsed during landing. Have the photographs from Hungary also to be dated back to 1943? Regards, Günther |
