Steve, you are welcome. I wouldn't have been able to find the other photo if it hadn't been for your comment about Wels in post 1161.
Franck, thanks for identifying the Bf 109's location. I am not sure about Illesheim vs. Wels, but Wels would make more sense due to JG 27 and the Luftflotte 4 Fw 190 F? What about the aircraft sitting on its nose that looks like a Corsair except its canopy (which looks more like a P-51 canopy). Were these photos accidentally mixed with photos taken in Europe?
