Regarding 42-52225. The pilot was reported as Aubrey L Edwards. Edwards is listed in the POW lists for Stalag Luft I. Here is a link to when he was first reported missing.
https://www.newspapers.com/clip/22393062/ A couple of other newspaper articles report he played saxophone in the POW band at Stalag Luft I. The 454th BG seems to list two MACRs associated with this aircraft, 3293 and 3284. I can't find 3293 on fold3. 3284 is for a different plane, but on one page it mentions 42-52225 and Aubrey L Edwards included in a list of losses. Lowell West is listed as the co-pilot of 42-52225 ("Hot Rock"/"Moo Juice?") and there is a story on page 8 about his evasion here: http://airforceescape.org/wp-content...ember-2003.pdf Last edited by RSwank; 1st August 2018 at 14:28.
