I know there are conflicting sources about the loss of this aircraft. Tom Womack in his the Dutch Naval Air Force Against Japan cannot decide which one he should believe, since in the main text state he has the aircraft exploding in the air while on its way to Ceylon (odd place to try and evacuate yourself to, in my mind), but in his appendix gives both versions for that same specific aircraft. What is odd, is that so far no one has come up with a single name of anyone onboard, not even the NCO who was the single survivor and obviously reached India. B Rgds Stig |
