Numbering Scheme for V1s?
Bearing in mind that the V1 was a Luftwaffe project, and that it was a pilotless aircraft, were V1s allocated conventional Wknumbers?
If not, was there some other numbering scheme for individual units? By extension (although the V2 was an Army project), is anyone aware of a numbering scheme for V2s? Thanks Boomerang |

Re: Numbering Scheme for V1s?
Hi Boomerang
As with everything manufactured, there was a W/Nr. (c/n) system applied Check-out all surviving airframes and this will give you an insight into the numbering system involved I have no W/Nrs for the V1 or V2 as I do not note these. There is something on the PRESERVED AXIS AIRCRAFT website and if you use GOOGLE I am sure that you will find sites and references to books that have been printed over the last few years I do have one book by Monogram which (if my memory serves me well) gives some W/Nrs (if not all) But I have moved address recently and this is still packed away. Send me a PM through the system and I will give my email addressand when I come accross the book will send the relevant details Best of luck Regards Tom Willis |
