Information on unknown flier?

Hi,

I have a sterbebild with very scant information. It shows a Leutnant and flier - possibly bomber crew member who was killed on the 24th November 1941.

The only other clue is that his first name was Willi and the card is from the family Schmidt.

Please see the attached foto for further information.

Thanks as always

Rick

Hi Brian,

Was this with fighter or bomber staffel?

Re: Information on unknown flier?

Rick,

The info came from the Grabesuche site , according to the Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries he was with KG55 . Unfortunately I cannot find a record of his loss in the GQM lists or in the loss lists in the KG 55 book,

Regards
Brian Bines
