Re: 9 April 1940 - Major Sch loss - Kristiansund area
Dear Robert,
As you requested (and I forget to bring the book yesterday), here are the relevants items of PART I of Fritz Dettmann's book mentioned previously PART I - cover the Polish Campaign (Pgs.17-47) PART II - In front of British Islands (Pg.47-113) PART III - Norway (Pg.113 -135 PART IV - France (Pg.135-end) From PART I, the following topics are mentioned or written about: * Bromberg * Kutno (Fi 156 rescue) * 25/9/1939 * Warsaw (27/9/39) * Warsaw (28/9/39) * End (4/10/39) Hope this will be relevant for you. Any details you may need, please do ask me. As previously informed, the book is flourished with Propaganda and we may read it with that "discount" in mind; however it is well written, by someone who actually saw combat and flew in combat (and was a journalist too)...No precise details or military information are told, off course...since it may have been censored, as the names of Major Sch and Oberleutnant H.... Most sincerely yours, Adriano S. Baumgartner |
