Good question. I remember reading that due to Nazi doctrine that the place of the women was at home raising children, Germany was slow to include women in its workforce, but I must say that every example I have seen with figures seem to show the contrary, like the above figure for BMW showing the part of women in the workforce going from 15% to 20% at its maximum peak, and only for German people. If you include foreign people, the percentage is almost flat, as the percentage of women in foreign workers and employees is inferior to the same in German ones.
