I read some reports from the participants of this rally. Only two crews mention the loss of one of the Lancasters, here is one of them:
R5552P F / Sgt F.M.Falls, Sgt R.E.Manvell (F / Eng), F / O T.Blair, F / Sgt R.S.Canham, P / O F.L.Austin, Sgts W.Mather, D.F.Charming. Up 1641 Down 0306. Bomb load 4 x 1000lb RDX.
