Hello Steve,
you are right, the WNr. block 2812-2940 is contradict to the Bf 109 D production figures of the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke. In JFV Vol. 1 are listed the following D-1-blocks without attributions to a manufacturer: 2110-2150, 2365-2370, 2440-2476, 2513-2625, 2650-2730 and 2812-2940. So my attribution of the WNr. 2812-2940 to "Messerschmitt“ in post #3 is misleading. According to the Radinger-Schick book AGO built 128 Bf 109 D-1, but no WNr. are listed. In "Falcon’s Messerschmitt Bf 109 Hangar“ is a table with "Factory number blocs of the Bf 109“. There the WNr. 2812-2940 were built by AGO, a photo shows the WNr. 2877 KD+SY. Regards Leo
