During a torpedo attack on a convoy on 15.11.43 1 Il-4 (Kap. Panin & crew; 3 KIA) of 5 GMTAP ChF was s/d reportedly by flak of the rumanian gunboat Dumitrescu at 44.48N-30.52E.
6 Il-4 (Lobanov, Presich, Fedorov, Minakov, Panin, Sinitsin) attacked a convoy cosisting of 2 transports (DANUBIUS, KT-25), 2 gunboats (STIKHI, DUMITRESCU), 1 A/S trawler (UJ 115), 2 auxiliary subchasers (KFK 11 & KFK 12) 10 miles SE Cape Burnas with 6 aerial torpedoes at 14.35h and claimed 1 transport of 3,000t sunk for 1 Il-4 lost. In fact no axis vessel was lost or damaged. Cheers Michael
