Help identifying signatures (back photo)

Dear all,

Some of you are born in Germany or are familiar with old (WW2) German handwritings.

Could someone give me a glimpse of the possible NAMES depicted here?

ARNIN ?

Rustrow?

Almost surely high officers from the LUFTFLOTTE 4...the left name may be related to a RK-Träger...

Adriano

Re: Help identifying signatures (back photo)

To begin with...the lower one is most probably LÖHR, like in Alexander Löhr.

Yes, indeed. The lowest one is Alexander Löhr...this is why I thought the others may be linked to Luftflotte 4

Re: Help identifying signatures (back photo)

Right ... I would say "Korten". Left ... I would say "Suren".

Re: Help identifying signatures (back photo)

Then I would say the one to the right should be KORTEN. It starts with a K and the third letter should be a "r".

The first one is tricky. I don't think it starts with an A - more like a S, but I'm not sure. The second letter could be a "u", the third again a "r", fourth a double"m"...

Always interesting with the old "Sütterlin" alphabet, but as I'm just an amateur - hope a pro pops in!

Re: Help identifying signatures (back photo)

If Suren is confirmed I found this:
(Hope it helps)
"Bereits am 12. Mai (1940) hatte das Ln-Rgt. 10 Arlon an der luxemburgisch-belgischen Grenze passiert und damit telegrafenbauend 55 km seit dem Grenzübergang in Echternach-Luxernburg zurückgelegt. Der Höh. Nafü der Luftflotte 3, General Suren, hatte auf einem Inspektionsflug mit dem Fieseler Storch („Achsenschreck") dem
Regiment für diese gute Leistung die Anerkennung ausgesprochen.

Hoffmann II,2 S. 37"

Then in here, too:

Regards,

Franck.

Dear Gerhard,

the first letter is clear an handwritten Sütterlin "S" and General Suren had to do with Luftflotte 4.

Regarding General Walter Suren have a look in the "Luftwaffe officer Career Summaries" from de Zeng IV/Stankey.

Best regards
Rasmussen
