Re: Luftwaffe Use of Pervitin: Documented?
Hello gentlemen!
Not a document, but a little nice story! Parts of TGr. 30 were stationed at airfield Reichenbach from 24.March 45 to 22.April 45. By night they flew to supply the channel islands and the "Atlantikfestungen". The crews got Pervitin to stay awake. This Pervitin were little white pills, which looked like Saccharin. On 23.April 45 airfield Reichenbach was abandoned. The barracks were plundered by some people from the "Torfwerksiedlung". They found a lot of these little white pills and put them into their coffee and tea. The doctor from Schussenried got a lot of work that time because of circulatory trouble and sleeplessness. Hope you`ll enjoy it! My source: Flugplatz Reichenbach 1938-1945, Walter Hermanutz Herzliche Grüsse aus Oberschwaben, Wolfgang |
