"UP" Aft of the roundel with "M" shown forward of the roundel on both sides of the fuselage.
So Sqdn code would be "UP". 4, 222 and 605 Sqdns. Just looked in FCL vol1, page 106 2 February 1941 605 Sqn Hurricane II Z2329 Sgt. K.H. Jones - Pow Drifted over the North Sea( shot down ? ). Landed on German airfield in error, set a/c on fire with Very pistol, Stalag Lift 6, Heydekrug. A second 605 Sqn a/c was lost this day, Z2308 Sgt H.W. Pettit Shot down, drifted over North Sea, KNG. Question Could it be foam and not snow, as it seems to be under the a/c but no wheel tracks ?
