Re: Still MIA over the British Isles.
If they flew from airfields in the UK, then for them to still be "Missing" would likely indicate Lost At Sea somewhere around the British Isles or Atlantic. As such they may never be found or may have been washed ashore along any coastline and have been unable to be identified in any way and are buried onshore in Known Unto God/Unknown Airman (or even Sailor as no one would know how they came to be washed ashore).
But publishing Names may turn up one or two that may lead to Unknowns also being traced. |
