Re: Some JG2's pilots transferred ?

As far as I can determine August Lambert never served in JG 2. He was as Schlachflieger and was in 6./SG 2 in March 1944. He was in fact KIA on 17 April 1945.

Karl Leban was KIA on 28 July 1941 with 6./JG 77 flying Bf 109E-7 (4137) Yellow 6. He had made one claim with 6./JG 77.

Re: Some JG2's pilots transferred ?

Bonsoir,
Thanks so much for your help.
For Hermann Ansel, i don't find him in JG2's lost list on 16 or 26th dec.1944. Maybe He died of a disease, and not in a crash.
For August Lambert, in fact, i didn't know if he was in JG2 or SG2. It's due to claims lists in the west and in the east. Indeed, in this two files, we can find 2 victories of a Lt August Lambert twice (the 13 february 1944 and the 19 march 1944), but in JG2 for the west, and SG2 for the east.
In any case, thanks again.
Fredo

Hi
Gunther toll transfered to III./JG52 in 1943 and was severely wounded the same year. But he returnrd to combat in 1945 with III./JG52 and made claims right upto the wars end!
