Re: Propeller blades for identification. I need help.
Here's the bottom of an Fw190 prop, I would think from the 'A' models.

The W.Nr 12.9528 is the W.Nr (serial number) of the complete propeller assembly and the /3 shows that this is the matched blade from the number 3 position on that complete prop. That complete propeller assembly will have had a plate showing the Gerat-Nummer 9-12 067A. Also, I think that the 178156 number is the VDM individual blade serial number. Cheers SM |

Green propeller blade is from Junkers W34. Broad blade has only number.

Hi! Are you certain there is no number on the bottom (underneath), on the base? SM |

Re: Propeller blades for identification. I need help.
It is possible that the number 8261B is from the equipment number listings and, is missing it's prefix? Maybe it is 9-8261B ? Anyone able to look that up?
SM Hmmm, or maybe not. I am finding that the VDM equipment numbers are in the 10,000 range and the Junkers in the 20,000 range. Last edited by schwarze-man; 13th September 2019 at 10:58. |

Re: Propeller blades for identification. I need help.
Thanks for the pic!
![]() I suspect that the base of the wooden blade had an alloy plate with the numbers and quality stamps. That certainly looks the way most I can find are. Your blade is very interesting, the metal hub fitting looks mostly like the late Junkers, not like the earlier VS9 on the Ju 87 that had a certain taper to the metal root fitting. Cheers SM |
