Potez 43.1 F-AMLF
Hello,
Currently on ebay there is a photo of a crashed Potez 43.1 serial F-AMLF at https://www.ebay.de/itm/FOTO-FLUGZEU...0AAOSwZBheYoNd Has anyone any information on the operating unit of F-AMLF in 1939/40? Regards, Clint |

Clint
I cannot see any sign this aircraft has been impressed by any of the armed forces of France, so most likely it was simply stored at the outbreak of war. Last owner was probably some Aeroclub Cheers Stig |

Re: Potez 43.1 F-AMLF
Stig,
The reason I believe that the aircraft shown may have been impressed is the tricolore on the rudder.Unusual surely for a civilian aircraft or not? Regards, Clint |

Re: Potez 43.1 F-AMLF
Hi Stig,
Obviously I need more evidence than I have and hopefully someone has further information on the military career,if any, of F-AMLF or indeed any other Potez 431, however impressment does not seem too implausible given the essentially simialar Potez 438 was a standard military machine and I believe I 'd be correct in saying that Potez 435 F-AMPT was impressed. Regards, Clint |
