Re: #s 3392 to 3395 I'm coming a bit late to the subject. The photo clearly shows a four-digit c/n on the tail; I read it as 1013. In France, four-digit c/ns were used for genuine Ju 52s which had been reworked by AAC resp. brought to AAC 1 standard, altogether 37 or 38 aircraft. Unfortunately, the previous German c/ns are unknown. In the years 1949 to 1951, c/n 1013 was used by French AF GT 2/62 "Franche-Comté" in Indochine using call-sign FRAYT, matching the letter 'T' on the tail. There is no connection whatsoever with Japan. Gerhard |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hello,
Regarding Post #3383, perhaps my advanced age is finally showing, but I cannot fathom why anyone would pay $300.00 US for a rather poor print of an official US Army image for which I paid a few dollars years ago. Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |
