Re: Full names of some RAF airmen in Middle East

A few more. I not completely sure on these so consider them as "possibilities". Maybe some others can check further.

Chisholm: Robert Taylor Chisholm, (39163) (from New Zealand).

Kirkham: Norris Kirkham (28111), Died in Kenya in 1956?

Duiguid (Duguid?): Alexander Gordon Duiguid (also appears sometimes as Duguid): (37468)

Looking for info regarding RAF Airman SGT McCarty Interned in Turkey between February 15/16 1943.

In this mission McCarty was part of the crew of 345th BS, 98th BG

Pilot Thomas Omohundro in B-24D 41-23763 Gump The Sniffer.

Take off from RAF Gambut No 5 in Libya (LG-159)

I believe SGT McCarty was radar operator due to this B-24D had ASV radar.

But from which unit, his full name and service number?

Re: Full names of some RAF airmen in Middle East

Hello,

Trying to find the full names, service numbers and ranks of a four man crew.

Pilot was named PICKERING, James.
http://www.hinckleypastpresent.org/jamespickering.html

The others were -
AYRE,
BROCHMAN,
DAVIES,

Have found nil ranks service numbers or Christian names.
They were in the Middle East and as far as I know survived WW2.

Thanks
Alex
