Mystery Do 217 M-1
Does anyone know about this ac? No date, location or unit apart from +AH on the fuselage. 4 eminent historians have not seen it before....but no doubt somebody will have seen it

Re: Mystery Do 217 M-1
What's below the belly of the A/C? Something different here may be the clue to the identity of this particular machine.
Wonderful picture by the way A. |

The Geography of the terrain also can give us (you) a clue?

Re: Mystery Do 217 M-1
Mystery because those I have asked so far have not seen this photo and its identity could not be determined. Furthermore, the person from whom I got this photo rarely put details on the back-a lesson for us all! Many thanks for that though Matolion

Re: Mystery Do 217 M-1
REVI,
I thought from what I saw and interpreted, it could be some kind of bomb (prototype) or device. Thanks for pointing to a bomb door. Most beautiful picture Chris. |

Re: Mystery Do 217 M-1
I would support the statement from Matolion.
In "Die deutsche Luftwaffe in Österreich" from H. and M. Handig, theres a picture on page 242 of a scrap heap in Hörsching, where we can see the rear fuselage of K7 (in small letters) + AH. Looks quite like your Do 217 |
