Japan Against Russia in the Sky of Nomonan

hi, guys, I happened to find this book "Japan Against Russia in the Sky of Nomonan" by a Russian Dimitar Nedialkov, in the book description it says " Text in English. The luxury hard back book has 128 pages, 7 X 10, NEW COPY, HARD BOUND IN ILLUSTRATED LAMINATED COVERS, 9 graphic illustrations, 4 maps with operative situation, 12 camouflage profiles, 57 photos from the archives of Ministry of Defence. AUTOGRAPHED COPY ......................This book is an emotional tale of one not so well-known military Air clash begun in May and finished on September 15th 1939 (15 days after Germany invaded Poland). Isn't this local conflict between the two empires the actual beginning of WW II? The crash of the Japanese made them move their striking power East against USA and UK in the Pacific Strategic Area. This changed the history for decades ahead. ...................The conflict characteristic feature is the importance of the Air Power in the achieving of the decisive final results. The level of massiveness and intensity of this air battle reaches levels without analogue even in WW II. The four months conflict, which took part in a theatre of operations with dimensions of some 80km front line and 30-40km depth became a battle field for more than 900 Soviet and 450 Japanese aircraft. The air conflict that continued plains took part. Col. prof. Dimitar Nedialkov Ph. D. is still an active pilot with more than 1500h flying hours on L-29, MiG-15, MiG-17, MiG-21 and Su-22. As a scientist he has 57 publications, including 11 monographs. . ISBN: 954-9367-33-9. "

It sounds interesting, and I just ordered a copy from articlesofwar.com

Re: Japan Against Russia in the Sky of Nomonan

Mirek, sorry, I am a chinese, so to me, any guy whose name end with a "v" is a Russian , I have not received my book yet, so no comments could be made about this book, and because I could read neither Russian nor Japanese, I do not know any book about air war above Nomonan published in either Russia or Japan, I am very interested in this subject, and this is the first book related to this subject ever published in English, and that was the reason I ordered this book.
and Mirek, on your opnion, is Mr Nedialkov a good researcher ?

Re: Japan Against Russia in the Sky of Nomonan

Hi
OK, I am Polish (Central Europe), I have thought you are from Russian (it was wrong), :-). Such similar to "Russian" nickname.

In fact there were serveral parts article in Air Enthisiast (in 70-ties) made by Japan, very comprsivea and based on Japan soruces. Most of publication about Japan side are based accoridng this materilas.
Later in the 80-90 the second material, not so good, but also readable, about Chalaachin=Gol was written in Air Ethusiast.
Thirs there was a book about jananis Army Aces edited 3-4 yeas ago in English there are aslo many information (by Grub Stree)
There are aslo some infor in OSPREY Japanise Army Aces abiut this war.

Also go to G. Merlinger side about Japan Aircrafts in WW II (there is nice stories about this topic too, and this is edited in English). I have lost the link but maybe someone have the link to it.

PS
I have also made, quite big material, about exactly this topic produced in Poland in 2002.

Regrads
Mirek W

PS
I can not say anthing about his book, because I have never heard/see it. If thies is the same author who writes about Bulgarian Air Forces, it is only depends on which sources he had done this last job.
Reading other Bulgarian books made by Nedialkow I think it could be a little stronger as for me (more data, more details, ect).

I shall buy it, whatever its value as an historical source, just to get a view inside this not very well known (To say the least!!) conflict.

I'm sorry, but I didn't get it yet, I've just finished to move to a new flat.
You'll have to wait a little.
