Re: Photos Royal Aircraft Factory Aircraft
Very nice RE.7 photos.
I got a problem with the crash of RE.8 B7729. When checking the date 8 May 1918, I have no crashat all of B7729. The other listed aircraft (4546) was an BE.2 and last time it was shown in RFC records was in Feb 1917. A4546 was a RE.8 but I have no details about that one at all. Checking the name Joseph Levine Myer, nothing comes up in either Henshaw or Chorley's books. Total blank ![]() Any ideas? Cheers Stig |

Re: Photos Royal Aircraft Factory Aircraft
Hi Stig,
Interesting that rcawsey.co.uk/Acc1918a.htm has B7729 and A4546 with 53 Training Squadron at Harlaxton, yet the photos for the R.E.7 have Machine Gun School ,Royal Flying Corps on the back.Perhaps the photographer flew with both units? Regards, Clint |
