Re: Gerhard Herzog 3/NJG1 crew names sought

Hello Adrian,

I./NJG 1 was at Eindhoven between 28 February - 18 March 1941, before moving to Venlo airfield.
On the night of 27-28 March, Ofw. Herzog and his Bordfunker Fw. Gross brought down a 78 Sqn Whitley and a 207 Sqn Manchester.
Sources differ from where the crew took off. Author Marcel Hogenhuis writes they took off from Venlo airfield (Vliegvelden in Oorlogstijd) but author Theo Boiten writes they took off from Eindhoven (Nachtjagd Combat Archive The Early Years).

Kind regards,
Timon
