Kollmann was never chief designer at Daimler-Benz, he was a sub-department head in the department of Ing. Friedrich.
Visits to the Daimler-Benz archive in Stuttgart and the Deutsches Museum in Munich would have been more important for history than IWM or Kew - in my humble opinion. I look forward to his research on Jumo Motors.
