Re: B17 42-3437
Hi Berk,
You might post your question here too.... http://www.armyairforces.com/default.asp Good luck, Paul PS: just saw you've been there in your research, but as we have members from France you might still ask for the existence of a possible monument. Last edited by Paul; 1st October 2006 at 13:30. |

Re: B17 42-3437
Berk,
The RO T/Sgt Rudolph Richer was the only one who survived and managed to evade capture. Those KIA were all buried in Cemetery in Viroflay near Paris. Any info about Richer and his escape ? Regards Loic |

Re: B17 42-3437
Loic,
I have a copy of the escape and evade report # 255 for Rodolph Richer. Where did you get the information that the crew was buried in Viroflay near Paris. Can you give me information on that cemetery? I was told by someone that my uncle James V Richardson was temperarily buried in Solers Cemetery Melun France. I contacted Arlington National Cemetery at Fort Myers , Virginia USA. and they said he was returned to the states and was buried on Aug. 15, 1949. I have visited the gravesite. Still looking for infomation on a marker of somekind or memorial for him and his crew. Thanks Berk |
