If you look again you will see the same 'photo shoot' is in Soltan-Davilla's book under type S. They claim only one was built (this one) and from other photos taken from the other side, yes it is No 625. However I agree with you, it seems very much to say Type X on the rudder (none of the other photos I have seen from the photo shoot show that!). Checking what the French expertise has written about it, the latest info I have is that all of a sudden two MS Type S were built and MS 625 was in fact the second one. All sources however agree, the Type X was not built! With a little figment of imagination, could the second MS Type S have been modified as Type X and that is what we are looking at? Cheers Stig |
