Nope. The W. Nr. is the number of the prop blade (not of the aircraft). It was added at factory, as the numbers match the number stamped into the wood. There is also another factory-added number on the side (not shown).
This is 100% original wartime piece...but yes...the swastika and white wings were added after delivery. Sadly, the veteran cut in in half to send it home. This is directly from the estate, and was sent home in this condition, so all markings are 100% wartime...just trying to determine if the emblems may be for a specific to a unit...or for something civil (maybe an NSFK)? I am picturing an aircraft that may have had an interesting paint scheme...like they did for the Olympics.... Last edited by harrison987; 13th July 2021 at 23:53. |
