Re: Photos Luftwaffe Trainers
Hello,
Currently on ebay is a photo of a Fw 44 captioned by the seller as D-EJLO at: https://www.ebay.de/itm/124886470289...gAAOSwXSJgjuG1 I'm not sure whether the photo is original as stated and it may have already been previously posted here...,but the markings are interesting in any event with the unusual positioning of the fuselage cross. Does anyone know whether this machine was actually registered as D-EJLO at the time of the photograph or was it in fact WL-EJLO. I suspect that D-EJLO may be correct based on the later war footwear of the individual in the foreground. But I'm not certain. So can anyone please clarify and also if known advise which unit operated the machine in this marking? Luftwaffe or some other state establishment? Regards, Clint |
