Re: 8th AF B-17s/B-24s to MTO
Hi Frank
You have 97th bomb group that first was under 8AF doing missions before transferred to North Africa then 15AF. And 885 and 859 squadrons from 492BG i believe that went to MTO. I have seen document that 446BG had a few aircraft that endes up in MTO. Some BG in 3rd air division phased out the B-24 for the B-17. //JohanSWE Last edited by JohanSWE; 30th November 2021 at 14:30.
