Ofw Merbach/Merzbach Stab II./NJG 2

Theo Boiten in his book "Nachtjagd Combat Archive" covering this period lists all German night intruder sorties flown over England as flown by II./NJG 1 and also says Merbach was from Stab II./NJG 1 (not 2 as in the title of this thread).

I found a Gefr Horst Herbach was was KIFA with Erg.St./NJG 1 on 24 June 1941. It is probably not your man, given the rank difference, but searching the name Herbach (with a badly written H becoming a M) can be an idea too (I personnaly found nothing else than the man above).

Another possibiliy: Fw Franz Marback KIFA on 8 August 1943 with 7./NJG 5 but again the rank is too low.
