GQM/NVM of Bf110G-4, Serial 440135, G9+OT NJG1; loss on 12.12.1944

Hi ,

I'm looking for the german GQM's recording / NVM showing the crash of the Bf110G-4, Serial 440135, G9+OT of the 9./NJG1; loss on 12.12.1944. Shot down from Pilot S/Ldr. Burbridge and Radar Operator F/Lt. Skelton, Mosquito ‘Z’ of the No. 85 Squadron RAF.
This may be available under the following identifier: GQM (766/2, Ziff e); NVM (NJG1_III_093).
Can someone make the report of GQM / NVM available to me?

Perhaps it is better to indicate what kind of information you are looking for. NVM from WASt (now BAPA) are not freely available unless somebody wants to share copies.

Michael Balss has the night fighter NVM copies for sale.
Maybe he is willing to share one with you? He is also on Facebook.

Leo

WNr 5072 is odd in this context.
As per Petrick that WNr was an "old" F-2

Any idea which WNr it really could have been?

Cheers
Stig

Hi Stig,

no, I have no idea about the correct Bf 110 G-4 Werknummer.

Hi

My intention in this case is home research. The crash site on December 12, 1944 was in my neighborhood.
I have the reports from the HW5 group on the crash, excerpts from the ORB of 85 Squadron, the Jet & Prop report on Visser (who is still buried in Marl - the city of the crash).
I am aware of the later crash of the Apel crew. I didn't follow this one further because it's too far away from me.

Since they all quote this WNr, is it possible the sub-type could be wrong?
Could there have lingered and old F-2 which for some reason was used? Proficiency training perhaps?
With all other aircraft thus being G-models maybe the compiler just wrote G-4 of old habit?

Cheers
Stig
