Thank you Chris and Steve for your information.
My question is why the parts of Do 217 ended up in the bunker at Sainte Marguerite sur Mer. It was used as a dustbin. Were the parts transported from another place or were they a nuisance to the owner of the land around the bunker...? ? According to the account given by Hugo Lemser to the German authorities, the location should be in a place where there are cliffs, therefore from Ault coming from Eindhoven to the vicinity of Sainte Marguerite sur Mer. In my listing of Do 217 of the 6. KG 2 I have only 3 planes : the 1217, the 5453 and the 5469. |
