Re: 413th FG USAAF

Hello all.

Nick, 1st FS rudder was always black, and early 34th FS white.
The upper illustration (showing tails) is an old one and is too bright.
Alex, thanks for saving some memories.
Last but not least, there is a website http://www.413thfightergroup.com
with many photos of P-47Ns http://www.413thfightergroup.com/p47n.html

Re: 413th FG USAAF

And If I may, a few comments. This is the primary problem with the internet. Sites disappear or get archived. I can still log into the LEMB and there's good information there but to those who never heard of it, it doesn't exist. And worse, all of that time and effort is gone (for them). The same with LWAG. All that time and effort wasted. I would suggest to the site owner here that a continuous, ongoing, or if that's not possible, one time download occur of this entire site. Whether that is to the "cloud" or some other storage medium. I would hate very much to see all of this time and effort disappear.

That said, I have my books and other publications. They are not likely to disappear. I will be buying more.
