According to Ethiopian-Eritrean Wars vol.2 by Fontanellaz & Cooper, Eritrean Mig-29 haven't shot down anything. Ethiopian Su-27s shot down 2 and damaged 1 out of 6 delivered Erithrean Migs. Out of 4 Eritrean pilots, 2 were killed and 1 imprisoned for voicing his dissatisfaction to Eritrean command. In Badme war, there was a lot of overclaiming on both sides, because they both used "tactics" of launching long range R-27s at maximum range (+ the Ukraine/Russia missiles were old and not maintained properly)
