Re: Photos German Aircraft
I am always happy to receive replies to my posts. However, this explicitly does not include posts from yourself.
As we see from your post on 24th december on the thread titled Allied interest http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...49458&page=292 the fact that you post links with no further information leads to serious errors on your part. The aforementioned post received in excess of 12,500 views following my notification that it was posted to the wrong board. But no need to thank me,it is the season of giving after all... Nor is this an isolated example. Please look at the first page of that thread where Snautzer posted information for his links and consider the worth of his posts compared to the worthlessness of yours.Snautzer started an interesting thread you have ruined it with your useless posts. The decline in quality is evident at a glance.I think about what I post whereas clearly you do not. Therefore I think it completely reasonable to reject any input from you on this or any other threads I have started, not just on this board but on any and all. |

Re: Photos German Aircraft
Hello,
Currently on ebay are a series of photos of German aircraft captioned as being at Posen. To my mind an interesting photo is this one of the single example of the Friedrichshafen FF 6 B.203/14 https://www.ebay.de/itm/364650493194...gAAOSwKodljpeF and this one of the Albatros Breguet B.50/12 https://www.ebay.de/itm/364650497147...0AAOSwzmVljpjm An Aviatik ?? https://www.ebay.de/itm/364650713425...kAAOSwnWpljsbE DFW Mars B.84/13 https://www.ebay.de/itm/364650714190...0AAOSwZo1ljsd0 The seller has a number of other photos from the same location as well as photos from the Baltic region. https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_dkr=...w=doppeldecker Regards, Clint Last edited by musec04; 31st December 2023 at 21:52. |

Re: Photos German Aircraft
Quote:
the help of Kees Kort whose knowledge about such things far outstrip my own feeble trials and mostly errors anyway.... ![]() The so called Friedrichshafen FF.6 is particularly interesting, since Jack Herris is the only author suggesting it ever existed! No German historian has anything to say about any FF.6 Checking his files Kees has come to the conclusion these photos are of an Albatros pre-war two-seater that Albatros themselves called Militär-Doppeldecker. The Bestellnummer was rather B.203/13 than /14 The identity of what is listed as Albatros-Breguet B.50/12 is possibly the aircraft bought by Albatros in 1912 directly from Breguet. It should be noted that Albatros did not acquire a license from Breguet until 1913 and it is unknown if they actually built any. Photos published just may be the original (Renault engine) later rebuilt with an Argus one. The Aviatik is quite correctly that and was dubbed Aviatik Schuldoppeldecker at the time. Cheers Stig |

Re: Photos German Aircraft
Hi Stig,
You want to see limitations, check out some of my earlier problems with Albatros D types. But thanks for your efforts in getting input from Kees. As the saying has it when the evidence changes,my opinion changes. So my spreadsheets have been amended accordingly. An interesting point about only Herris. This highlights I think the need to show sources. Unfortunately all we can see from the Aeronaut book is that the photo is from the Peter M Bowers collection. I now Completly concur having ironically enough, checked Aeronauts Albatros vol.1 that the machine B.203 is the Militär-Doppeldecker. Regards, Clint |

Re: Photos German Aircraft
Hello,
Currently on ebay are a series of photos of German aircraft, somewhat marred by the watermark, but interesting nontheless I think Foreground and Euler B.I from the batch B.403/14 - B.419/14 in the background Aviatik P.14 B.148/13 possibly from FEA 10. https://www.ebay.de/itm/296157383184...YAAOSw-vVlno6F There is another shot of an Euler at https://www.ebay.de/itm/296157379980...QAAOSwAihlno5g An Aviatik https://www.ebay.de/itm/296157378520...gAAOSwtYJlno4w Having mentioned FEA 10 this LVG is from FEA 3 to judge by the marking. Confusing https://www.ebay.de/itm/296157376281...0AAOSwlm1lno1- There are then some shots of Aviatik B.II B.1327/15 presumably taken during the pilots operational career. As part of Armee Abteilung Gaede https://www.ebay.de/itm/296157384528...gAAOSwy1tlno8G https://www.ebay.de/itm/296157383933...4AAOSwLrFlno7U https://www.ebay.de/itm/296157411949...sAAOSwQe9lnpGi Regards, Clint |
