Quite a distance from St Jean D'Angely but the only Mosquito claim this date; time and cause match

Thanks Matti for this , as Chris said the only Mosquito claim that day and details match . Braham's report give the following as his approximate point of contact with the Fw 44 - 45 deg 15 min N. 0 deg 45 min W - if I am identiying this on Google maps right it looks like by Saint-Estephe to the S/W of Fontaines-d'Ozillac .

The VDK site for the graves of these two airmen is given as Tantanes de Ozellas a location I cannot find so it looks like a misspelling of Fontaines-d'Ozillac

I had to have my computer repaired and I started losing TOCH just after this , so knowing little about the workings I did mot know which end the problem was with .I had missed the thread you sent with only getting on occasionally
