Good thinking Stig. I'd become fixated on whether it was a O or or U (slaps forehead).


I've had a look at the details for Jatho Tauben in de Vries and I think that the rudder on the machine in the photo very much resembles Jatho's Stahltaube,although the machine seems to differ in detail.Still very possibly his 1913/14 Taube. Not clear from de Vries or Lange's Typenhandbuch whether he operated his own aircraft at his training school.Definitelynumerous military in the photo though.
