Re: Mustang II lost November 16th 1944

Our friend Geoffrey Sinclair wishes to add the following:

16 November 1944, According to Norman Franks Mustang III RF-A of 65
squadron failed to return from a mission escorting Lancasters to Duren,
F/O O H Robinson.

Looks like 65 squadron sent 12 Mustangs on a Ramrod 1420 to 1630 hours,
1 Mustang category B crash landed at Ostende after engine failure. The
squadron record of events says RF-A and lists every other serial on the
mission, which it reports as escort.

RF-A listed on missions 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 13? November
