Our friend Geoffrey Sinclair wishes to add the following:
Weekly report, Coastal Command units based in Britain 1 May 1943 report 40 Beaufighter escorting 18 torpedo Beaufighter sorties, looking for a naval force off Norway, no attack made, 7 aircraft missing and 2 damaged from all operations on the day, another 2 aircraft missing on 29 April, for the week 8 Beaufighter and 1 anti submarine aircraft missing. Either 6 or 7 Beaufighter missing on 1 May. Geoffrey Sinclair
