Re: Fw 190 expert question
I am no expert, but "Leistungvergleich Fw 190" dated 3.1.45 lists the Fw 190 D-15 as being a version powered by a DB 603E armed with 4 MG 151. I believe in some similar documents, there was reference to the F-16, but they are temporarily lost in a pile of other documents right now. The last production data I have is for March 1945 and the sub-types produced were:A9, D9, D9 EZ42, D11, D11EZ42,D13. There was no sub-type breakdown for the 384 "Schlacht" Fw 190s that month. Whoops found a document for the Fw 190 F-16: "Entwicklungs-Mitteilung Fw 190" dated 28.12.43. The F-16 was similar to the F-8/F-9 with BMW TS or TH and a number of detail changes.
