Yes indeed, must have been one of Hanns Truebenbach's guys with the Kunstflugstaffel. Also an acquaintance of my uncle with JG3.

He was that Vince. 25 kills with 5./JG 3 and gets his 26th with 3./JG 2 19 May 1942 and by the end of 1942 his score stood at 31

Hello Leo,

according to JFV Vol. 15/II technical defects were the reason of the emergency landing, in German "Notlandung infolge technischer Mängel".

Hi guys

Many thanks to all who have responded regarding this pilot who indeed had a quite interesting career. I was some what surprised when I came across some evidence that suggested that he died in the USA but it now appears that was indeed the case.
