Re: Bf109 F-4r3 with 1(f)33 July to Nov 1942 any loss reports?

Hello Ernst,

in the GQM loss returns I have found two Bf 109 F-4 losses:
2 Sep 1942 1.(F)/33 Bf 109 F-4 WNr. 10212 100%, ditched in sea due to engine failure near Cherbourg, pilot - not named - rescued by the German sea rescue service.
27 Sep 1942 1.(F)/33 Bf 109 F-4 WNr. 10215 95%, crash near Dieppe due to fuel shortage, Gefr Eberhard Lenk verletzt.

Regards
Leo

Tanks Leo,

this is from the Lrg forum from Norbert Schuchbauer

Bf109F-4 WNr.10211 SB+WY 15-Aug-1942 80% Belly landing due to engine trouble.

This is F-4R3 equiped ( or may be not instaled?) with camerea hence our airframe with hatc on the Lh side bottom. and compass on the rh side
Also the letter is possible with 8H+ as unit code
All 3 seems to be to damaged to be rebuld ?

Also we got a name for sech after flugbuch in your info.

Regards Ernst

Hi Ernst,

http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/album....pictureid=1733

I found these four that include the one from 15 August and Leo's two above. The final one is interesting in that the pilot is from 1.(F)/33 but the Bf 109 F-4 is from 1.(F)/123.

all the best,

Jim
