"Books and Magazines" alternatives + F4F, F4U and Pacifc Air war book recommendations

This forum is (beside other things) the best source of information about WW2 aviation books. I really hope that the forum be able to survive, but if it doesn’t, is there any other site, forum or FB page that follows the announcements, publishing dates, reviews, and similar information about WW2 aviation books?

Also, while I grapple with the middle-aged military buff's “spiral of death” (what I like/want > finances > bookshelf space > reading time), at least for the Luftwaffe side of books, I have something of a “concept of a purchasing plan”. On the Allied side, I’m more of an impulse buyer, but I am looking for some Pacific War themed books. So, “before we go “, could you please recommend some books (more extensive than Osprey Aces or Air Campaign) about the following topics:

  • F4F and F4U books – if possible, with both operational experience and technical aspects
  • Book about the Pacific air war after 1942, that combines strategic aspects, operational experience, and technical advances – if such a book even exists (something like Silent Victory for aviation)

Stone & Stone have a long record in flagging up (and reviewing) new Second World War publications: http://stonebooks.com/index.shtml

I would recommend Richard Dunn's South Pacific Air War (2024)
