Re: "Nassen" Müller's Bf109 "Green 3"
You mean "Nasen Müller" not Nassen Müller? Nassen means in Germany wet.

Re: "Nassen" Müller's Bf109 "Green 3"
Some years ago, in the German IPMS magazine, Bernd Barbas described a 109 -- G6/AS, G14/AS, or G10 -- they weren't certain which, of Nasen Muller, that carried a P-38 150 gal (640 ltr) drop tank, and an upward firing cut-down MG 151/20 that poked through the fairing for the homing loop in the top fuselage behind the cockpit. This sucker was aimed through a sight painted on the top of the canopy.
Now, Herr Barbas said that this a/c existed, others say, No it didn't. So, with that proviso, I submit the following drawings of this a/c that first appeared in, I believe the name was "Mitteilungen." It's an excellent mag that has lots of WW2 German aviation material. |
